Hope you’re all having a great week so far! If I’m being honest, I’m STILL recovering from the incredible Super Bowl week in LA. As most of you know, I would always rather be on the broadcast with my FOX family for the big game, but I must admit that I had a great week from events to parties to panels…it was nice to have the energy and excitement that comes with the Super Bowl in my backyard. While taking the time to reflect on the whirlwind I was just in, I wanted to share my week with you and give you an inside look at what I was up to.
First up on Super Bowl week was an incredible initiative that I partnered with Crown Royal for – which included sending a very rare bottle of Crown Royal 18 Year Old to 56 of the most influential women in sports. Let’s be honest…who doesn’t love free alcohol?! But the real win was a $1,000 donation in each of the women’s names to WISE (Women in Sports & Events) to help other women in our industry achieve their dreams. WISE is the leading voice and resource for women in the business of sports.
On Thursday night I was honored to attend the 17th Annual Legends for Charity Dinner benefitting St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. During the dinner I was humbled to be the Pat Summerall Award honoree for this year’s ceremony. As you can tell from my earlier post about my first experience with St. Jude (and my friend Zane), the research hospital and its brave patients hold a very special place in my heart. My proudest moment of the night was hearing that those in attendance had broken the record for the most donation dollars at the Legends for Charity ceremony. This dinner was a perfect moment to pause and reflect on our real purpose in life – helping those in need, especially children. Special thanks to my family, friends and everyone that supported me that night, it meant the world to have you there!
Friday was my first panel of the week, and I was beyond excited to have my friend and business partner, Constance Schwartz-Morini on stage with me at the Bloomberg Power Players Summit. The Summit brought together owners, athletes, and key figures in the sports arena for an intimate conversation. Constance and I sat down with Bloomberg’s Jason Kelly and spoke about building WEAR from the ground up, the intersection of sports & culture, and the forever changing media landscape.
Last, BUT (definitely) not least – I had one of the honors of a lifetime to sit down with two absolute legends: Bo Jackson and Joe Montana. Sunday morning before the Super Bowl, I got the chance to host a Q&A with these two pillars of the game and speak with them about their incredible careers and thoughts on the Big Game. As surprising as it may sound, I had never gotten the opportunity to meet either of them, and the event couldn’t have made for a better tailgate to Super Bowl LVI.
I hope you all enjoyed the Super Bowl, and had a great time cheering for your team (or tuning into the Halftime Show)! Comment below with your favorite moment from the game or any incredible recipes or traditions you have for Super Bowl Sunday.
Until next time,
